DAYS SINCE THE LAST SCHOOL SHOOTING IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
At least one report from the campus said the shooting occurred at Forbes Arena and may have stemmed from an argument over use of a basketball court. The shooting victim is believed to be a student. It was unclear whether the alleged shooter was also a student. The police spokesman did not say whether the victim was a student. Additional information on the exact location of the shooting was not immediately available. Chafee said Morehouse campus police would be handling the case.

School officials say two people were wounded in the shooting. One of the victims was a 14-year-old, MyFoxAtlanta.com reports. Police say three suspects are in custody, according to MyFoxAtlanta.com. The school was placed on lockdown and authorities say parents are not being allowed to pick up their children at this time. Price Middle School is located in southeast Atlanta.

An armed Alabama man boarded a school bus, killed the driver and is holding a 6-year old boy hostage.
Police are still negotiating with him more than 12 hours after the incident began.

Rebecca Burton, the dean of Concordia’s Grand Prairie campus, says a police officer came to the office suit moments ago and told everyone to lock their doors and stay put. Concordia shares the building with other businesses; all were told to do the same thing. Burton says there are just Concordia employees in the building at the moment, and neither heard shots.
